Thanks to everyone for the most successful CenterFest Arts Festival ever--over 22,000 people enjoyed art and performances in downtown Durham throughout the 2-day weekend!
A number of artists reported strong sales. Artist Howard Schroeder said to the Herald Sun on Saturday, "The organization is wonderful. The advertising, marketing and support for the artists has been great."
New This Year! Citizen's Choice Award Goes to Andria Linn Over a thousand festival-goers voted for their favorite artist in CenterFest's very first Citizen's Choice Award. Mayor Bill Bell presented the Award to Durham resident Andria Linn for Painting. Andria began by "getting her artist feet wet" in DAC's ArtWalk and eventually showcasing her work in CenterFest Arts Festival.

Winning this award means I might actually be making an impact, making a connection with my art." Congratulations, Andria!
