    Empower Dance Studio

    Empower is a dance studio that nurtures and fosters natural beauty, instills self-confidence, and reinforces positive images of dancers from all backgrounds. Empower offers weekly classes in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, and lyrical for children ages 2-17. And for the young at heart, there are unique adult classes offered each week. Once a month, we open the doors for Durham’s Third Friday Art Walk with dance performances paired with other artistic disciplines, such as visual arts, poetry, and music.

He is the Director of Creative Development for the Music Maker Relief Foundation. Taj Mahal stated that Ferguson ranks “among the five greatest guitarists in the world. He is a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.”

    Freylach Time! Is one of the most popular Klezmer bands in NC.     Mixing Rhythm and Blues flavors with a hint of southern roots rock, “Handsome Al and the Lookers Featuring Emma Davis” gets people off their seats and on the dance floor. In addition to his sterling good looks, Handsome Al has sizzling Texas style blues licks for days. Backed by a stellar rhythm section dropping the groove deep in the pocket, sealing the deal are the sultry stylings of Emma “Big Mama E” Davis on lead vocals. This is a band of experienced musicians, doing their own original songs as well as cranking out unique takes on the music they love – great covers of artists like Bonnie Raitt, The Allman Brothers, Delbert McClinton, Tina Turner, Robben Ford, B.B. King, The Neville Brothers .. the list goes on. This band promises a great time and some great music.
