	Come Enjoy the 35th Annual CenterFest Arts Festival! September 20-21, 2008 Historic Downtown Durham, North Carolina In 2008, the Durham Arts Council celebrates the 35th Annual CenterFest Arts Festival. CenterFest is the longest running juried outdoor arts festival in North Carolina and the largest arts and community festival in Durham. Showcasing the arts, the festival boasts over 150 juried visual and performing artists from across the country and provides visitors with great food, diverse entertainment, and educational activities for families. This year an expanded marketing campaign, support from the Durham Convention and Visitors Bureau, and additional sponsors will all help deliver an estimated 25,000 visitors and targeted art buyers! There will also be expanded programming, collaboration with the Bull Durham Blues Festival, and artist demonstrations to attract visitors from a broad regional market. The Durham Arts Council is a non profit organization whose mission is to promote excellence in and access to the creation, experience, and active support of the arts for all the people of our community and CenterFest is our biggest annual event! Volunteers We need volunteers to help in all aspects of the festival. Requirements: You must attend one of the two volunteer training sessions scheduled on the Monday or Wednesday before the festival.
