CenterFest 2017 is dedicated to Baba Chuck Davis – dancer, choreographer, teacher, mentor-to honor the gifts he gave us from his loving, joyous, creative spirit.

This year 148 juried visual artists from 17 states will showcase and sell their original, handcrafted work. 75 performing arts groups will fill six stages with continuous music, dance and entertainment extending into Saturday evening, and four food courts will keep guests fueled for fun. CenterFest 2017 is located in the City Center, including downtown’s many enticing new retail, restaurant, streetscape and public spaces.

Located in the South Bank block, the Durham Arts Village contains Durham Rising Star Artists, the Durham Arts Council Kidzone activities, including the Clay Studio tent, the Channel 11 Family Stage, the APS Durham Pet Oasis, Sunday morning yoga at CenterZen sponsored by Global Breath and a delectable assortment of food trucks and Coca Cola.
